How to adjust your hoop earrings

As your earrings are delicate, the metal post may bend slightly during wear or handling, which can affect the closure's ability to click securely. This is not a fault or breakage; the post simply needs a small adjustment. If left unadjusted, it can put unnecessary strain on the hinge, potentially weakening it. Please follow these steps to adjust the post:

1. Gently Adjust the Post
   Using your finger or smooth pliers, gently push up on the post in small increments. After each adjustment, check if the post clicks more securely.

2. Avoid Overadjusting
   If the post becomes difficult to click, you’ve pushed it too far. Gently push down on the post to correct this.

3. Minimize Pressure on the Hinge
   While adjusting, avoid putting pressure on the hinge to prevent weakening the pin fixture.

4. Ensure Proper Alignment
   Before closing, ensure the earrings are lined up correctly and avoid forcing the click if there is resistance.
